National park Mavrovo - snow shoeing tour to the peak Plocha 2245 m

This is a one-day snow shoeing tour through the most beautiful region in Macedonia. Snow shoeing starts few kilometers above the vivid village of Zirovnica, rich with authentic culture and architecture and ends at the peak Zirovnicka Ploca (Visoko Brdo) at an elevation of 2.245 meters. After we finish the tour we’ii have traditional lunch in domestic ambient in a mountain hut Govedarica above Zirovnica and a short walk through the village.

Equipment

Everybody has to know that the right clothing and equipment is essential for a successful mountain trip. There will be some items and travel clothes which you will want to pack for the journey which will not be required on the tour in the mountains, so these may be left at your hotel and collected at the end, a light fold away small bag is useful for these items.
