Introduction journey to the Macedonian mountains, food and wine. For a period of five days we will visit the most beautiful mountain scenery in the country, will be familiar with local culture and enjoy the memorable sights and landscapes.

Day 2 – After breakfast we will start hike to Tito’s Peak (2747 m). We will climb it by the summer trail passing through areas with endemic flora and one of the best panoramas and landscapes in Macedonia. From Tito’s Peak we will hike back to Popova Shapka, followed by transportation to Mavrovo National Park. Accommodation, dinner, and overnight stay in Mavrovo.
Day 3 – After breakfast we will have transfer to starting point of the hike to peak Golem Korab at the Strezimir watchtower. The hike to the summit of Golem Korab, the highest peak in Macedonia and Albania, is usually done via the so-called summer trail. However, depending on the clients’ interests and fitness levels, we offer other options as well. The ascent to the summit under normal summer conditions takes about four hours, and the hike back, depending on the chosen route, takes from three to four hours. After the hiking tour, we offer the opportunity to visit the locality of Adzina Reka, where you can see the local endemic species of conifers, as well as a visit to the Bigorski Monastery, one of the oldest in the Balkans, dedicated to St. John the Baptist.
Day 4 – The day begins with a thirty-minute 4х4 transfer to a place called Dingova Crkva, where the leisurely hike to the summit of Lera starts. This hike follows a gentle trail that passes through the unique pastures of the southwestern end of the Shar Mountain massif. After reaching the summit, there is an option to visit one of the local shepherds’ huts or take a short additional hike to the springs of Adzina Reka.Transfer to Skopje, accommodation in the hotel and dinner in national restaurant. Overnight in Skopje.
Day 5 – Transfer to Skopje airport and fly back. Additional activities can be added depending of the departure flight time.

Everybody has to know that the right clothing and equipment is essential for a successful mountain trip. There will be some items and travel clothes which you will want to pack for the journey which will not be required on the tour in the mountains, so these may be left at your hotel and collected at the end, a light fold away small bag is useful for these items.
