This iconic summit is not just a destination—it’s a journey that promises to immerse you in the essence of this rugged landscape.

The adventure typically commences from the charming village of Staro Selo, nestled at an altitude of 900 meters—the official starting point of the renowned High Scardus Trail. But it’s the panoramas from the summit of Ljuboten that truly defy description. To truly appreciate their magnificence, they must be experienced firsthand. As you gaze out upon the expansive vistas, you’ll be captivated by the sheer beauty that unfolds before you—a tapestry of rugged peaks, verdant valleys, and endless skies.

And let’s not forget the culinary delights that await you at the mountain hut Ljuboten—the oldest in Macedonia. Here, amidst the rustic charm of the mountains, you’ll savor the flavors of traditional Macedonian cuisine, a feast for both the body and the soul.

But the adventure doesn’t end there. Depending on your preferences, the tour can be tailored to suit your desires. Whether you opt for 4×4 transport to the Ljuboten hut, extend your journey to neighboring peaks such as Livadica or Piribeg, or even embark on a weekend tour of Shar Planina, the choice is yours.
