Snowshoeing
One-day snow shoeing tour from the village of Patishka Reka, located at a distance of 40 kilometers from Skopje. The goal is the peak called Ostri Vrv, which is 2.275 meters high. First part of the tour passes through the forest range rich with endemic biodiversity, and the second part is in the zone of pastures where beautiful panoramas can be seen. A lot of fresh powder days through all winter.
One of the most popular one-day snow shoeing tours in Macedonia which is “a must”. Depends on the snow condition, snow shoeing usually begins one kilometer above Staro Selo, then we pass by the mountain hut Ljuboten where we have a tea break. We climb the top by the northeast ridge. Going back is by the same way. On a way back we have а lunch in the mountain hut.
This is a one-day snow shoeing tour through the most beautiful region in Macedonia. Snow shoeing starts few kilometers above the vivid village of Zirovnica, rich with authentic culture and architecture and ends at the peak Zirovnicka Ploca (Visoko Brdo) at an elevation of 2.245 meters. After we finish the tour we’ii have traditional lunch in domestic ambient in a mountain hut Govedarica above Zirovnica and a short walk through the village.
